The Reality of What We Possess

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love" Ephesians 1:3,4

Challenges to our identity come in this life through many different avenues throughout life. It could be when our spouse rejects us or when our children grow up and leave home. At some point, our employer tells us we are no longer needed. We lose our sense of belonging in a church we have attended for years. A culture of identity politics further divides and defines people apart from God's design. If we are not careful, we can be seeking to fulfill our needs for love, acceptance, and security apart from Jesus Christ!
