Client Intake Process

For those interested in receiving counseling at our office, please note the following process.

Step 1: Schedule Phone Appointment

Before scheduling in-office appointments the counselor need to have a brief phone appointment with you. This call is to evaluate if your counseling need is something we can help with and will our availability meet your counseling needs. To schedule this appointment, simply call our office at 317.585.1845. The administrative assistant will be able to assist you.

Step 2: Talk to the Counselor in Phone Appointment

At the scheduled time of your phone appointment, we ask that you call the office at 317.585.1845. Rev. Jeffrey Pokone will be expecting your call. During the phone appointment with the counselor you will need to share a brief explanation of your counseling need. This will allow the counselor to better assess your needs and determine whether he may be able to assist.

Step 3: Begin the Process of Discipleship Counseling

Based on the counselor’s assessment of your needs and our availability to serve you, he may suggest one of the following:

Read a suggested resource, provided immediate counsel or help finding a referral.
We can recommended resources to individuals seeking help before they schedule an appointment. Give immediate counsel in some situations, or help with a referral option.

Schedule an initial in-office appointment.
We begin with an initial one hour counseling appointment. Additional appointments will be scheduled after that first appointment.

New clients must be prepared to wait 2-4 weeks from the time of their phone appointment to their in-office appointment. We will do our best to serve you as soon as we are able.

Clients coming in from out of state are responsible for their own accommodations.
