Preserve Marriage Couples’ Retreat

Are you looking for an opportunity to spend time away with your spouse and grow together in your marriage? On July 13-14, Rev. Jeff Pokone will be the featured speaker at a couples’ retreat hosted by Preserve Marriage Ministries in Kokomo, IN.

Rev. Pokone will be addressing the following marriage related topics:
- Living and loving out of your new heart in Christ
- Issues that damage marital oneness
- Resolving marriage killers
- Removing relational blind spots

During the retreat, you will be housed in one of the “lodges, ” which provide an extraordinary and romantic setting for you and your to escape to. Each deluxe room contains a king-sized bed, two-person shower, ample space. Bedding, linens, and towels are provided. Outdoors, you can enjoy seclusion in the woods complete with walking trails and sitting areas.

The retreat begins Friday at 5:30pm and ends Saturday at 6:00pm. Three delicious meals will be provided: dinner on Friday night, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday.

“Your Gifts Bring Freedom” Matching Funds Drive

Dear Friends of IBCC,

For many years God has blessed our clients through friends like you who have supported IBCC sacrificially. Many who come here are unable to pay $85 an hour for the counseling cost of this ministry. We believe it is important for our clients to help support the ministry of counseling they receive; however we receive many calls from people desperate for help who cannot afford the cost of counseling.

Already this year we have been able to help married couples restore their marriages, watch men grow and mature in their relationships with Christ, and several are finding healing from abuse in their past. Not only do I love counseling people, but I love partnering with you and watching God expand Hid kingdom as families like these find the help they long for without finances being a problem. The Lord has blessed us with a great opportunity to help support this ministry.

Recently, a friends of IBCC suggested a matching funds donation drive. They pledge to match up to $10,000 of earmarked donations. From May 16th until July 15th, 2012 donations given to the matching funds campaign will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000. Your donations will be making twice the impact.

To give to the “Your Gifts Bring Freedom Matching Funds,” all you need to do is mark on your check “matching funds” or make a note when donating via PayPal.

This year we will be honoring founding Board member, Dr. Roy Blackwood. He is the man God used to begin the formation of this ministry fifteen years ago. As a local pastor, he saw a need for a biblical counseling ministry to come along side and serve the local church in its counseling needs.

Our new website is now live! We hope it is a blessing to many who are getting and seeking help in central Indiana and anywhere else our website is viewed.

The Indiana Biblical Counseling Center (IBCC) is a faith-based, pastoral counseling center committed to serving local churches across Indiana and the United States.

It is our goal to help believers understand their position in Christ and learn how to appropriate that position in their daily walk.

Rev. Jeff Pokone is the counselor and Center Director for the Indiana Biblical Counseling Center, with twenty years of experience helping hurting people find lasting, biblical solutions.

While we do handle a variety of cases at IBCC, Rev. Jeff Pokone specializes in counseling marriage conflicts, trauma and abuse cases, and men’s issues.

If you are looking for Christian counseling and discipleship in the Indianapolis region, we’d love to hear from you! Serving Hamilton, Marion, Hancock, Madison, Johnson, Boone, Hendricks, Shelby, Morgan, Henry and Tipton counties in Indiana, although we’ve had clients who travel from all over the state and nation! We are based out of Fishers, Indiana and are also serving many clients in Indianapolis, Carmel, Noblesville, Greenwood, Avon, Pendleton, Westfield, Zionsville, Lawrence, and Greenfield, Indiana.

2010 Fall Praise Banquet

A couple who was divorced and recently reconciled will share the story of how God tore down strongholds in their lives and brought restoration in their marriage. Please join us for this special event!

Our guest speaker will be Bill Hull, well-known pastor, author, and founder of Choose the Life Ministries. Bill’s passion is to help the church return to its disciple-making roots by choosing the life to which Jesus called every disciple. Bill has authored several books on discipleship, including Choose the Life, Jesus Christ Disciple Maker, and The Disciple Making Church. Bill grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Broad Ripple High School, where he excelled on the basketball team. He and his wife Jane now reside in Long Beach, California. They have two grown sons and are proud grandparents.
